Located in the heart of downtown Athabasca, the Words Work literacy program offers a range of services to anyone working or residing within the County of Athabasca
Free Adult TutoringTrained, volunteer tutors to work one-on-one with adult students - at no cost to the student English as a Second LanguageOne-on-one assistance to help individuals new to our country and community learn English as a second language Workplace LiteracyBasic reading, writing, math, and oral communication skills to enhance productivity, reliability and safety in the workplace. Family LiteracyPrograms that reinforce the importance of early literacy in children's lives, such as " Books for Babies", "Literacy and Parenting" and "Rhymes and Storytimes" Literacy Support for Agencies Tailored programs for individual clients with specific social and academic needs. Referrals:We take referrals from individuals, agencies and businesses Trained and Experienced Tutors and FacilitatorsStaff and tutors trained in the fields of adult literacy, family literacy, and adult learning techniques Other Services:- Individual Assessments

- Personalized, Practical and Relevant Assistance
- Assistance with the General Equivalency Diploma Process
