Family Enhancement Program
Family Enhancement Program A voluntary, family driven intervention strategy offered by Child & Family Services
VISION STATEMENT
Children, youth and families reaching their full potential within a safe and nurturing environment.
MISSION STATEMENT
To enhance the lives of children, youth and families through the provision of quality, community based services, which respect individual beliefs, culture and spirituality
The Family Enhancement Program (FEP) uses a different approach from the Core Protection Program. FEP is an intensive short-term intervention program to help support the family to focus on safety concerns and become linked to the community.
Facts about family enhancement:
Parents are approached about the program first without the child being interviewed. It is voluntary so families are asked to sign a consent form. The program runs for 12 weeks of intensive intervention by the Family Enhancement Worker with a view for extension if required. The approach is collaborative with parents so that it is family driven and child centered.
